Virtual visit: The restless reef

Climatic conditions are similar to that of Kerala coast. Average rainfall is 1600mm a year with the major share from the southwest monsoon.

Almost all islands experience tropical climate with temperature ranging from 25-35°C and humidity ranging from 70-76% during most parts of the year. March, April and May are the hottest months, but the island stays cool under its lush canopy of coconut palms.

The best diving is from November to May. The water temperature is around 26°C. (From Oct-Nov you can be sure to spot the Manta Rays feeding.)

Cochin is the nearest International airport.

There's a regular flight from Cochin to Agatti island. From Agatti to Bangaram, you need to go by boat. (Or by helicopter during the monsoons, when the seas tend to get choppy -16th May to 13th September.)
