Accommodation at Quiet by the River consists of four independent cottages and all of them offer spectacular views of nature in all its splendour. The sights and sounds of the flowing Periyar river are a balm that have to be experienced to be believed.
As a committment to Responsible Tourism, the lodges have been modeled on the traditional homes that you will find in Kerala and the materials used to build all the lodges have been chosen with great care to ensure that they blend in with their surroundings. Each lodge has a verandah. In traditional homes, the verandah is a place where people sit and have long conversations and even at Quiet by the River, it’s the perfect place to sit and have conversations, catch up on reading or grab a pair of binoculars to get a better view of the forest.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable and in order to give you a truly immersive experience, none of the rooms are equipped with television sets.
